Capstone Mission Statement
This week our CGA class is taking our end of the semester capstone trip. The capstone trip is for us to take what we have learned in class and put it into practice. My teams mission statement is, “To lead by example as Christ did while taking ownership in establishing kingdom in the community and inside the home”.
Jesus came to this earth and led by example day after day and night after night. He never sinned and He showed His disciples and everyone around Him how to go about living life. We want to live each day knowing that the life we are living is one glorifying to God. That others can look at us and know something is different about us. I want to know that when people see me they see Jesus. As leaders, it is our job to set the tone and example for those around us. If we choose to lead people in a way that points towards Jesus, while we set our heart to align with His, what better way is there to lead? We should seek to be more like Christ and in doing that we should always be choosing to live a life where we are leading by example.
As leaders, we have to take ownership in establishing kingdom everywhere we go. If the Lord calls us to another country to serve or if He calls us to stay put in our hometown, we should always be seeking to establish kingdom. Each calling is equally important but we have to keep our focus on God and praise Him in the process. My life use to be so focused on what I wanted and where I wanted to be, not worrying or thinking about where God wanted me. Now I live my life from a completely different perspective. Yes, there is still things I want in life but they mean nothing if God isn’t the center of it all. I now ask the Lord where He wants me and what He wants me to do. My goal in life is to be involved in what will establish the most kingdom for God. I want to make a difference and show the Love of God to everyone I meet. If plan a will bring 30% kingdom and plan b will bring 70% kingdom, then I want plan b. Even if plan a was something I wanted way more, I would still choose plan b because plan b will bring more people to the Lord and establishing His kingdom.
Its important to both lead by example and take ownership of establishing kingdom in both the community and your home. In the community you could be setting examples and impacting people without even knowing it. Ultimately we are going to influence people no matter what, either in a good way or bad. I want to know that I am influencing people in a good way and in a way that is glorifying to the Lord. I want to be an impact on the lives around me by showing them who Jesus is. I want our Heavenly Father to be the center in my home. Home is where I want people to gather in fellowship. My home will be somewhere others are welcomed and come together, not just blood related. This week we get to spend time with the family of one of the girls on my team. This is an opportunity for us to bring Jesus into the home. To invite her family into our family dinners and fun activities. As well as invite them into the ministry we will be participating in this week. Home is about coming together and inviting others into it with you.
Y’all I want to live the life the Lord is calling me to. The path that will fulfill His purpose for my life. I want to know I am living a life where all my thoughts, ideas and actions are focused on t Him. Not because I have to but because I know that is the best life for me. I want to also take that and invite others into living a life walking alongside God, because thats the greatest gift you can give someone. I want to make an impact and the best way to do that is introducing them to Jesus and living our mission statement out every day.
CGA has been such a big part of my growth and I am so blessed the Lord called me here. I am still currently $1,750 from being fully funded. Pease prayerfully consider partnering with me to get fully funded for CGA by the end of the week. It really is a huge part of preparation for what the Lord is calling me into. I would also really appreciate prayers to become fully funded by the end of the week. Thank you all for your love, support and prayers. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
Love Y’all, Paxtyn 🙂
